I prefer sitting on the J side, but F side has previously had slightly better better food offerings. No more.

I've never been in there in 10+ times flying ex-JFK in F. I don't think CX pax have access.
Been in there a couple of times on F redemptions. Usually if you just show the attendant your ticket they will let you through, but if they don't, you should be able to sort it with the front desk.

I was quite curious when I entered the BA lounge the other day and asked if I should turn left to F or right to J, the person said I can use F but "most BA Golds prefer J".

Now I kinda know why...

The F side is depressing. Dark and empty. The J side is much better.

And often times crowded for 889.

With the Concorde Room for BA's own F pax, this is the neglected lounge for OW Emerald and other non BA F pax. Pitiful.

F side has champagne, J side does not. I typically migrate between the two, filling up in F, consuming/relaxing in J. Agents have no problem with this.

The Galleries Club lounge has champagne available on request.

That's good to know. My wife is flying Aerolineas to EZE next month, I've had to coach her not to embarrass herself by turning left in the lounge as she's accustomed to when we fly places together. And I warned her about the lack of champagne on the J side, so I think she was planning on skipping the lounge in lieu of a proper bar downstairs.

Clearly, she should rethink her aversion to Galleries Club.

I appreciate the input. Take care - Jamie

Echo to what jamiebaker said, I usually run between F and J. but make sure the lounge staff know that you are F passenger! Even in F side, you do need to ask for all sort of things. Do ask for whereabouts of the pre-flight dining, for many times if you do not ask, they do not tell, you do not know and you missed a chance. I was there in early December flying 841, the buffet breakfast was pretty decent.

CX should just take over the BA F lounge and operate the UA lounge for CX J.
