I still have hope! But if that thing does fly on Jun 1st, I'll certainly stand by my offer to buy those interested a beer & Jäger :D^^

It'd be brilliant if one of the early flyers could take a look at the baby bassinet situation in PEY. On the seatmap, 30C and H are blocked off, but since there's no proper seat maps available, I can't tell if both are actually bassinet seats. Dummy bookings don't indicate bassinets.

If it's two of them, is either of them preferable over the other?

We'll have snaps of the A350 cabin after the May 30 media walkthrough, will see if we can get details of the bulkhead row in the premium economy cabin.

Some details of the "base" seat that CX Y+ is based on.

Just picture it covered in Cathay's signature soft cyan cloth instead of swanky leather and you'll get the idea.
That's putting lipstick on Cathay's signature green colour :D

When you walk into the economy cabin and think "Hello, Windows 95 desktop!"... :P

Isn't cyan blue? Like the economy seat? Premium economy seat is dark green.

I'm assuming, they're sticking with same colours on the 350.

djsflynn May 26, 2016 3:51 am

Cyan is blue-green (or green-blue, depending on which way you come at it)...

Anyway I won't mind a cloth seat for long haul, which are usually colder destinations for me.

Booked CX754 BKK-HKG in J on 7/9. Just received an equipment change alert (A359 to A333). Bummer! Since my sole purpose of taking this flight was to experience the refreshed J product on the new aircraft, can I ask CX for a compensation? I mean, this swap is not like any other. e,g, from 77W to A333! :(

Why would they swap aircraft at this stage? Has there been a delay in the delivery of B-LRB?

Are you kidding? Come on.

There is not a delay. It's just reality. If you want this plane, book a flight to LGA or DUS.

You're booked on a regional flight in July.....i wouldn't bat an eye if it happened with an older plane, let alone CX's newest bird with extremely limited limited fleet quantities.

There are so many factors that will go into where that plane flies, and the regional schedule is bound to be extraordinarily unpredictable. You should just refund your ticket.

Can you imagine how absurd it wouldve be if CX had to compensate for every regional equipment swap.... fat chance. Not to mention, 99.9pct of passengers aren't fanboys. A downgrade from 77W to 33P would be just as bad for anyone else. And it happens on a daily basis.

Unless you were kidding and I totally missed it!

You can ask for CX to waive the cancellation fee perhaps? i know someone who bought for May 1 on EY, they waived his cancellation fee for it.

B-LRA operating as CX3350 has finally taken off from TLS enroute to HKG! It's finally coming home!

maortega15 May 28, 2016 6:31 am

Anyone else besides me on CX 907 on 01 June?! :D

Great news. Maortega and whoever gets on some of the first flights, hopefully you can take lots of pictures and post them here for us?;) I am very keen to see the cabin layout, how the J seat is modified, etc.

Will do. ^ Will also take photos of the IFE interface (which will be new), screen and table orientation, and cabins along with videos which you can check at my YouTube channel.

Since I plan to have a late breakfast/early lunch once I land, I'll consider passing up on the meal service so I have time to take more photos.
