Flight change problem

Hi all,

I have redeemed the following ticket in first class.

BKK>HKG>LHR>HKG>BKK

While BKK>HKG and HKG>BKK legs were booked in J class because there was no first class flight available when the ticket was issued.

Now, I would like to change the BKK>HKG leg to the flight that J class has no seat but F class has available seat. Can I change to this F class seat because of my F class ticket status?

Thanks!

Welcome to Flyertalk and the Cathay Pacific forum !

Yes you can. You would have been charged a return F class award ticket anyway so when you have F class availability between BKK-HKG and vv, you are allowed to change it. In fact if a flight is a available with F but no seats, you can waitlist till it opens up.

The only problem is that I think Asiamiles will now charge you a fee for reissuing the ticket.

This is a definite reissue. US$100 or HK$780 if you're using a HK credit card to CX...
