CX885 all zeroed out?

Any ideas why CX885 is zeroed fully only on Dec 22nd?

I'm still able to select seats (from an almost entirely empty seatmap) and have not received any notices of the flight being cancelled.

There is something strange that week. The following flights were all zeroed out:
* 2015.12.22 - CX884/885
* 2015.12.24 - CX898/897
* 2015.12.25 - CX898/897
My feeling is that CX may try to cancel those lights. Just a guess - perhaps fewer people are traveling those dates and CX may like to rotate equipment.

The same is true for CX 897/898 on Feb 7th. I have an F award seat booked on that flight and I'm not sure what's going on or if the flight will be cancelled. Both CX and AA have no explanation either. I'm eager to know why if anyone figures it out.

This might be because of a pending scheduled cancellation due to light loads around Christmas. Same as on LHR route. General demand, particularly from business travellers declines at that time of year so frequencies are often temporarily cut.

I was originally booked in F on CX885, until CX removed the F cabin and bumped me to J. So now this issue brings double suspicion. If CX cancels this flight, I would try to use this to get back my F seat on another flight........ or else I'd surely be happy to (hopefully) have the entire J cabin. :P

Somebody on this JFK thread (see the quotations on the first post) speculated cargo reasons: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/catha...l#post24390443

EDIT: Thanks everyone. CX did cancel the flight a day or two ago... and I received no notification at all.

Do they have your contact information?

I just called CX to get my seat allocations, and they asked me for my phone number. So obviously, something didn't transfer between one system and the other. The may have my email though.

It may be for a similar reason, but I suppose you meant "cancellations", not "delays".
