Baggage interlining: CX to VS

Hello

I am aware that CX should be able to check my bags in through from Cathay to Virgin, but would they be able to do the same on the following:

TPE > HKG > DXB > LHR

The first two legs are with CX, and the final is with VS. Hoping to avoid having to collect my bags in Dubai, although I have allowed a stopover off 4 hours.

Thanks in advance

Separate tickets, I presume? Shouldn't be a problem in that case even- just be firm and polite and ask for a supervisor if needed...

Thanks for the advice

Yes, separate tickets. 1 ticket in business TPE>HKG>DXB, and then a separate ticket in Upper Class DXB>LHR

No problem for CX-> VS.

But you can't do VS -> CX if its not on the same ticket.

Many thanks for such a quick response.

Any tips for what to do in DXB for 4 hours?
