I've changed mine and now my whole family's without an issue. Cathay is limiting the number of valid special characters in an attempt to prevent people reusing identical passwords used with other web services. A password manager is a must nowadays.

Mine has stopped working again...I don't really know what's wrong.

**update**

Placed a call to the MPC hotline, the reason it was blocked was because someone was trying to access my MPC account online. That's a little bit worrisome...The person tried 3 times and because it failed 3 times the system locks the account and you have to call in. The agent said that the 3 attempts were last night at 20:01; 20:03 and 20:05.

As to why I couldn't log in...no one knows...so I used a new password instead.

Everything was fine until today after lunch (again) when Im supposed to do OLCI on a flight for Saturday...I couldn't log in again and the system said invalid password...I tried to reset after many failed attempts and still got the same message about my new nominated password is identical to my current password...which is weird because if the system recognizes it...how is it that Im not able to log in?

MPC and AM now has OTPs for changes in your Redemption Group or Profile update...I guess they are really stepping up online security. Which is good considering what happened to my account last week.

I couldn't login with my password which I am 100% sure is correct. Are they even making people reset passwords every few months?

I had the same issue a few weeks ago, had to reset password to access account. It would be nice if they can ask us to reset rather than getting to reset after failing to login.

I had the same issue on multiple occasions already. I don't understand if this is a temporarily glitch or if, like you say, they are making you reset passwords every few months. Either way, CX's IT system (or IT policy) is a joke.

Think it's a glitch...no problems here (but I was an early resetter?)

No problem as well so far... (I'm one of those last minute resetter :p)

Yesterday my password did not work. I did not bother with the reset. Today the same password works. And no I didn't enter it wrong, both times it was the same one that Chrome remembered. This is a CX IT issue.
