CDG reduction
I noticed that CX278/279 (A340), which used to be daily, has been dropped from late October.
That is a big reduction in nonstop capacity to Paris (from 77W+A340 to 77W). AF also used to have two flights but they replaced by a single A380. But it will soon be a mix of A380 and 77W depending on the day, further adding to the capacity reduction.
Was traffic so bad or is it temporary due to A340 retirement?

Winter reduction
Yes, CX278/279 will resume as 3 weekly in January with adjusted timing. Currently the A340 sits in CDG for more than 12 hours. When it resumes in January 2015 as a 77G and they won't let it sit in CDG for that long.
They would probably make it back to maybe daily again during summer 2015 depending of 77G availability.

Checking current timetable, it seems to be a continuous 10 weekly from January to Sept/Oct'15.
At least, daily CX260/261 should be safe. This is the "main" CX daily CDG flight that has been steady for the past few years with no timing change and consistent F.
The second daily CX278/279 seems on and off over the years and could vary in frequency. We don't know yet if CX will further increase it to daily during summer again. This flight should not have F.
