KA New First Class
Anyone have any information on the new KA F Class? This was scheduled to be deployed in March 2014, but it appears to not have any information in regards to how many have been upgraded as of yet.
They have 18 A330-300 per Wikipedia. Anyone with any news regarding this, please let me and the community know. I have a F Class 333 in November and was wondering if I get to experience this. Thanks!

I bought a F Class HKG-KHH (A333) for November travel and I'm not sure if that will have the new retrofitting. Sorry, I'm not very familiar with the fleet sheet provided.

If true, then better fly on the CX390/391 on PEK route and pay less.

I was upgraded to new KA F on PVG-HKG last month. It was a usual seriously delayed Friday evening flight and I was exhausted, however from my limited recollection the seat was exactly the same as CX long haul J.

The issue with what you bring up on CX390/391 is that flight is not guaranteed metal. You could end up with anything. Regional J via A333, long-haul J via 77W or 33G, or old "coffin" long-haul J via 747. I could swear I was at HKIA a week or two ago and saw CX390 going out as a 747.

Yes, it is the same.
Good idea, however it's a roll of the dice.

http://zh-tw.flightaware.com/live/flight/CPA390/history and this is also in accordance with the CX schedule.
744 was used twice in July 13 and June 5 in the last 2 months. 343 was also used once on July 20.
One problem is that it leaves PEK too early, wasting the whole day.

I was on KA 900 HGK-PEK recently, and it was clear from the set map in the reservation that the flight was planned as the new F, which did end up being the case. The seats seemed to be exactly the same as the long-haul CX J, in a 1-2-1 configuration (center seats slightly facing each other and the two window seats angled outward). I don't remember what it was, but a hot breakfast was served.
