LAG question for U.S.-bound flights

I should know the answer to this, but searching yielded old or inconclusive results and I'm not 100% certain I'm decoding CX.com correctly:

During the secondary screening for U.S.-bound flights, LAG items are allowed as long as they meet the regular rules (100ml bottles, one ziplock bag, yada yada)? In all my times flying to the U.S. this has never been an issue since I checked my toiletries, but facing yet another long layover in the ORD Admirals Club soon, I've decided I might as well bring my own better-smelling soap and shampoo if I can get them on the plane!

If your LAG items are under 100ml, you will be allowed to bring them onboard
