Taking a stroller down to the jet bridge
Hi all,
Does CX allow passengers taking their strollers down to the jet bridge, leave it there for the luggage handlers to take it down the cargo and for it to be claimed at the jet bridge when we arrive at our destination? Basically, just like what the US airlines allow us to do today.
Based on a previous posting, it seems that this is allowed and the process is what I described above. However, I can't seem to find that information on CX website. They only mention that umbrella type of stroller can be taken into the cabin if it's small enough.
Any input is greatly appreciated.

What happens is that when you check in at the counter, you tell the agent that you have a stroller. The agent will give you a folded plastic bag and tag the stroller. Before boarding at the gate, ground staff will unfold your plastic bag, put the stroller in, seal it up, and take it away. You will then retrieve the stroller at the bridge when you disembark.

Yes, they will allow you to pick it up about 1/2way down the airbridge. You can use in Airport in HKG for your transfer. I've done this many times, as recently as this past Sunday.

just a tip there are 2 types of plastic bags too - the smaller stroller sized one and the larger wheelchair one. if you have a bigger type stroller which doesn't fit the standard sized stroller plastic bag, request for a wheelchair sized.

Would this fit?
Hi, first time travelling with an infant here.
Will this stroller be considered for gate check in? It certainly isn't an umbrella stroller.... but would it fit in the "wheel chair plastic bag"?
http://www.stokke.com/USA/en-us/stro...coot/3652.html
Also, how does one pack a car seat for check in? Do we just drop the car seat off at the check in counter unpackaged?
Thanks,
bacxow

Checking In Car Seats Like These....
erman, thanks for your input. ^
seawolf, we have something similar to this:
http://www.amazon.com/Safety-1st-Alp...sin=B00GEF7CD8
to clarify, we are not planning to bring the car seat on board (infant is travelling as a lap child). the car seat is for use when we arrive at our destination since we will be on the road quite a bit.
thanks,
bacxow
