2000 Asiamiles for replacement cards
One of my new 2014 MPC baggage tag was lost during my trip last week so I made a request for replacement online with 2000 Asia miles deducted.
For 2000 miles, I expected one whole set comprising of member card (with Oneworld logo) and two baggage tags (without Oneworld logo) but I only received the member card and no baggage tags.
I think this is a rip-off. One card for 2000 miles?

No disrespect intended, but why worry about a lost baggage tag in the first place? I don't even use them -- I've got sturdier tags of my own.
The membership card is another matter, especially if you frequently travel on partners where it can be important (although less so, as some of them are able to look you up in the computer for lounge access and such if you're eligible). I could see being willing to pay some cash or miles as a replacement fee for that.

+1 to not sure why you would even pay 2000 AM for a baggage tag (or 2) in first place.
Regardless - both prior to the website refresh and in the current interface, it clearly has 2 separate links: The latter, if you're only requesting 1 set (2 tags), it's free.
The $20 USD / 2000 AM only kick in when you try to order 2 or more sets.

Stupid of me. Didn't notice you can just request baggage tags (1 set of 2) and it's FREE! Now I have two member cards and one tag. Guess I will drill a hole in the one I just received and use it as a tag.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Really, I wouldn't bother. Just pick up a regular tag somewhere and write your details on it. The tag has no bearing on priority handling (assuming you're eligible -- you don't say what tier you are), since they'll use a Business or First tag if needed. And you'll want a non-CX tag anyway for the times you fly other airlines that wouldn't be willing or able to use your CX number to track you down if the bag goes missing.

Yes the famous DYKWIA tags I always smile when I see passengers arranging their tags so they clearly stand out and even re-arrange the business of first class tags on the luggage to make it easy for other people to see
