Early reset question

Hi All
I am about 5000miles short of requalifying for silver. My membership year ends on 31 Mar. I have a PVG/LHR in J (each way is about 7000 miles) and another PVG/HKG in Y booked in March. I don't want to "waste" all of the miles from these two trips on this year's qualification and I have a legitimate shot of going for GO next year.
My question is what is the best way to reset my membership early and carry over as miles as possible from the trips in March into next year's qualification? Will CX reset my membership even with a 5000miles shortfall? If not, how can I split up the LHR trip so that only half goes into this year's qualification?
Your advice are appreciated.

They're unlikely to reset you at SL with that shortfall.
In terms of splitting up your March trips:
1. You can keep your MPO number off those reservations. After the flights, credit the one flight that pushes you over 30k. After that posts and your year resets, claim the other three flights.
2. Alternately, after the flight that takes you over 30k, you can contact them and ask for a reset at that point, on the grounds that you know you won't make it to GO in the remaining few weeks anyway. In the past, they've been willing to do that for me in the last weeks of my last month.
