Thanks QRC3288! I was able to upgrade all my segments to business from PEY with a little last minute flexibility.
On an CX upgrade flight it looks like one gets AM at the base fare rate? |

CX238 for 27th May is showing
J3 C2 D2 I0 W0 R0 E0 Y0 B0 H0 K0 M0 L0 V0 S0 N0 Q0 O0 Is this typical of an overbooked CX flight? i've booked economy(M) class,also I'm a new MPC green member. Will i get an upgrade bonus? |
It doesn't look likely from here but in case I'm wrong can you report back please?

Isn't CIV the correct tiebreaker these days?
(But status is a loose indicator of CIV) |
Hi, I'm new here as well. Apologies if this question has been asked before, but I was unable to find it elsewhere.
Can you upgrade a seat using miles twice? For example can I buy an economy seat, upgrade it to premium economy using miles, and then upgrade the same seat again with miles to business class? Asked another way, does a premium economy seat need to be a revenue ticket in order to be upgradable to business class? Thanks |
No

(But status is a loose indicator of CIV) And of course unlikely that a GR has a higher CIV than a DM :D Anyway this is a million dollar question... |

Hi,
I'm very confused about the terms and conditions when upgrading a British Airways flight with Asia Miles. I see that "Mixed class and mixed carrier awards do not apply to class upgrades and companion tickets." What happen if I book for example CDG-HND as a return ticket in premium economy. Because the segment CDG-LHR doesn't have a premium economy, so the fare class for that segment is K. However the LHR-HND and HND-LHR fare class is T (which is upgradable for british airways according to https://www.asiamiles.com/am/en/redeem/charts). In that case is the ticket considered mixed class and cannot be upgraded? It seems a bit stupid since it's impossible to book a non mixed class on that trip. |

Thanks cxfan1960 for your reply. Yes but in that case would the T segments (LHR-HND) be upgradable or would they not be upgradable because the entire flight is mixed class?
If those two segments are upgradable then I'm already more than happy enough. Having economy on the first short haul flights is not a problem. |
