Looks to be inspired by yahoo weather / ios7.

I don't think their current design is the problem, the key problem is still that some underlying functionality is still not functional.

Probably more important for them to resolve the functionality before they overhaul the design again..

Good god no!! That would appear be to designed by some 14 year old kid on work experience :)

Thank God!

perhaps unrelated to that website, I am still marvelling over a redemption booking I did last night- it went through - yay!

And the confirmation email has a section at the end, aptly titled "Promotional Section Heading", a nice pic of the (not so) new 77W biz class (not the new new one), and a subtitle reading "This is Hotel Promotion"
a horizontal line to delineate sections, and,
Your sincerely,

It looks more like a mobile site for tablets

Speedbird218 Oct 22, 2013 11:42 am

I imagine it is being designed as a responsive site, which means it scales up from a mobile phone, tablet to a desktop. Without having to build separate pages for differing screen sizes.

Sounds like CX took a page out of Microsoft and their disaster Windows 8.

Best practice is to design a responsive site.

Here is a good example of one

https://pittsburghkids.org/

Have the browser window open on your pc and then start to shrink the size of your browser window, you will see the layout starts to change, the nav vanishes to be replaced by a drop down etc

Then do the same with Flyertalk.com....

is that really for their website??

or is it for their apps ( moving away from the previous version)

it looks like its for their app

and very Windows 8 appish looking as wel

For an airline website they want ease of attaining information, reserve flight, and manage their reservations.

Can you send them to SQ? SQ's inept IT department is still so screwed up even after it upgraded to Amadeus in 2012. I couldn't even it to work on a simple fare - LON-SIN-SYD-LON. It just keeps crashing.

Those screenshots are verbose, bordering on speciously flatulent. Besides, since when could the CX website help you book tickets to events and such? It can barely book you on a flight!

How about beginning with fixing the simple things one used to be able to do, like get mileage upgrades, first?

Passbook on iOS7

I used Passbook in my the latest six CX flights. My iPhone is iPhone5 and iOS7.

At first, I always book CX flights on website. At the time 48 hours before each departure, I do online check-in. After online check-in, I visit CX homepage and sent myself an email about CX mobile boarding pass. An email has a link to QR cord of my each CX flight, so I can add mobile boarding pass on my Passbook.

In the latest six my CX flights, I could go directly to security check room without showing up in front of CX counter to get boarding pass. Also when transit, I just had to show staffs my iPhone with displaying my mobile boarding pass.
