CX BNE ground staff rebooked me on the next morning CX156 (BNE-CNS-HKG) 9:15am, but only for pax whose final destination was HKG. The flight was pretty empty. Other pax connecting in HKG were rebooked on CX Tuesday 24th flight. While some other pax I think were rebooked on other airlines to their final destination. I also overhead a conversation about someone with a Finnair ticket and they said they’ll cover it because they are oneworld. I had originally just arrived on same day from SYD and checked in with QF (for SYD-BNE) around 6pm (4pm HKT). QF Check-in lady printed me both boarding pass, including the connecting flight CX146. So I guess there was no information yet telling her the second leg was cancelled, so I proceeded to BNE for my int’l transfer. Maybe I was lucky I was sent to BNE. I can imagine SYD CX counter would have been more busy. CX BNE ground staff arranged us accommodation at the Pullman downtown. They were very professional and made us feel we were in good hands. Thumbs up to them. |
