Heathrow lounge options

Quick question for you lounge lovers, looks like I will be early for my flight out Heathrow tomorrow. On CX 250, Any of you lounge boffins who like doing the. lounge experience thing want to advise me which is best option in T3 at LHR as searching on here has nothing up to date, looks like I will be almost 3 hrs before departure into LHR already checked in at Madrid.

I'd just stick to the CX lounge. There's a noodle bar and other offerings I'm sure would be far superior to AA's lounge.

The BA lounge is nicer in decor than the CX lounge. But food offering likely to be similar or worse. Noodles in CX lounge are nothing special.

There is the BA Galleries First.
If you are in F Class or Oneworld EMD you can use that. They have better Champagne But the food is really bad now according to the BA board, so best to stick with CX lounge.

I flew out of LHR this week and went to CX F lounge. Food offering is ok and beverage option was good. They have VCP and Perrier Jouet champagne and many red/white wine to choose (better than The Wing selection in my opinion). The lounge was jam-packed at that time I was there though; this was probably because I was flying out on CX254 so there were 2x CX + 1x QF A380 departure.

Haven't been to BA F lounge at T3 so couldn't comment though you can definitely skip AA lounge. If CX lounge offering is 'nothing special' then AA lounge offering is 'nothing nothing' I'd say lol Bon voyage!

Both the BA F and CX lounges have their merits. If it's during the evening rush, then I find the BA lounge less crowded than CX. Avoid the AA lounge.

If in F I would use the BA First lounge. The food has improved following the initial change of caterers and there is a separate dinong area like the Haven in HKG lounges. The J lounge has good views of some aeroplane movement, including part of a runway, the F view is only from the dining area. However, the CK lounge is not bad although inferior in terms of view and food (unless addicted to noodles).

Avoid the AA lounge unless you want to lounge-hop as an aiport activity.

U CANNOT use the F dining room in the BA lounge if not flying BA F class. The food in CX lounge is much better still. Even the non noodle dishes. The view in the CX F class lounge much better than the BA F class lounge

I used the F dining room on Friday afternoon with my wife and we were flying business class with CX. I have to say the lounge and staff were great as I have only ever used the F lounges in T5. Really enjoyed the Johnny Walker Blue label in the lounge as well.

you want a bet ? we had the dining room to ourselves and no less than 3 waiters hand and foot. Hence the reason I complemented them on such great service

First Pre-Flight Dining (which used to be on offer in that space for BA F pax only after 4pm) is now no longer offered, so the space can be used by anybody in the Galleries First lounge. The standard lounge menu is on offer, and the tables will not be laid as they were in the Pre-Flight Dining days.

Yep so basically u had the galleries first menu which is also being subject to a 1000+ posts complaint since April.
The only good thing in the BA lounge is the champagne and the JW blue

mayodave Sep 2, 2013 6:19 am

Yes we made full use of the Champagne bar and JW blue label helped me sleep all the way to HKG with 45 minutes to go. Got say again the staff were brilliant and although hot food wasnt supposed to be available until 6 pm they went out of their way to prepare hot food for us both.
