No not true. No saying CX is always the best. But clearly u r stating something obviously wrong that needs correction.

I agree with this and for those reasons tend to use the BA F lounge in T3. However, I suspect the Chinese food is better with CX (as it should be). Part of CX's issue is that it has to provide both Asian and Western food whereas BA tends to concentrate on the latter.

What is better at the BA lounge except the alcohol?

It is like a school cafeteria. The cook to order meals are also average at best.

I am rarely in the CX lounge when it's busy so can't speak to that, but I will say that I quite like the noodle bar and views from the F side of the lounge, and when I'm there I'm often the only one there (maybe one or two others, but not often). I will say that I think the BA food has rebounded quite a bit after the disastrous change of caterers, and the alcohol in the BA lounges is undeniably better. So from a food perspective if I'm feeling noodles I go CX, anything else I go BA.

It would be very helpful for those of us who are relatively new to this forum if it could be explained which categories of comments about Heathrow lounges are considered off topic in a thread about Heathrow lounge options.

Afternoon all

I have a morning (07:30) BA departure from LHR T3 next week, and would ideally like to stop by the CX lounge for some breakfast noodles - does the noodle cook work at 06:15 or so? [I see from the cx website that the lounge is open from 05:30, but nothing more than that]

They have Chinese items forgot whether the cook to order stuff is available. A full English breakfast is available.

Just went to both CX F and BA F lounges at LHR T3 yesterday in the evening.

CX F: 3 curries (one was chicken but the chicken pieces were tiny), one soup, some simple salads (canned corn, shredded lettuce), 3 noodle options, two desserts.

BA F: very tender and juicy beef rib (with bone, as big as a plate!), 2 curries, tomato basil pasta, 5 good salad options (cous cous, farfalle, purple cabbage coleslaw), very good cold meats (juicy grilled chicken breast, big salmon steaks), one soup, two desserts.

Based on last night's comparison, I prefer the BA one for wider variety and better quality of food.

Have u read the latest update on the hygiene level of BA lounges?
Better stick with CX.

Yes I did read it, but having eaten at both last night, I did not fall ill. And I think BA would get its act together after the hygiene inspection.

I was actually quite impressed by the variety and quality at both BA F in T3 (dinner) and T5 (breakfast) during this trip. I was at the T5 Concorde Room last year and it was superb too.

Also did you read the quality as well? Really surprise at your review. Because it has been consistently bad in CCR and GF. Hope they did improve. But compare to the Wing F class it is still a big gap in terms of food quality.
