More YVR crew problems

Even the HK based crew dislike their YVR counterparts:

For those that don't read Chinese basically a HKG based crew complaining about the attitude of YVR crew:

HK base啲菇慣性同同事講thank you for the flight, 係基本禮貌!

so is this their way of expressing fear in loosing jobs to more offshore bases? or is this their scare mongering tactics trying to hold HK public on their side? I don't read cantonese but i like to see specific factual/unbiased facts rather than simply "i don't like them" or "I don't like their attitude"

Who are the crew members expressing their gratitude to? The pilots? Other crew members? I don't see why you have to give numerous thanks to other crew member for doing their job. I think the purser tried to tell the other FA that she/he was over doing it. Come on, are your colleagues going to thank you a dozen times for handing them a file? That's kind of ridiculous isn't it.

I think the YVR based purser did the right thing to correct the overly thankful FA. BTW, most of the YVR based pursers I've come across are super professional and one of the lady pursers must I say is extreme attractive too.

Sometimes I kind of think that people have forgotten what 禮貌 truly is and create a definition that suits their purpose because 9 out of 10 times they don't walk the talk.

I think it is basically a difference in culture and just a clash.
Anyway expect more to come with more outport crew stations opening

How is this related to work ethic? Are you presumed to be a harder worker by repeating the words "thank you"?

I think it is more how you treat your colleagues. However it is difficult to assess because of the different culture.

Different people and culture operate differently. It's more or less the same everywhere, even outside of the aviation industry.
