non-flight redemption
i recently used my Asiamiles to redeem a non-flight item available on the Asiamiles website. i received an email confirming my order, saying i was to receive a formal redemption letter in the mail which i would need to present to the retailer in order to receive my item. i thought that was easy peasy... NOT!
...the letter never arrived.
i reported this to Asiamiles and i was told that 1). there was no way i could claim my item without an actual hard copy redemption letter, 2). they could not mail me another redemption letter since the promo period had lapsed, and 3). my only option was to choose another non-flight item within 5 days!
after years of problem-free transactions with Asiamiles, i'm very disappointed to have gone through this very troubling experience with them =(
