Recaro I believe. Same model that Qantas use.

Then it's not even based on the same base model as CX's seat is made by weber

I guess you would say the BA seat is the same as the QF seat then which is clearly not true.

Okay...I'll bite.

Ba pey = cx

When you have thread titles like this, and statements that say "BA selected CX's version of PEY", one assumes that you are saying that BA's seat is the same as CX's seat, the same way that AA chose CX's J class seat.

But look at the pictures below - they are clearly different seats. The headrest is different, the shape of the seat is different, the footrest in the front row doesn't have CX's silly "extenda" lever that no one can find. The TV in the front row is in a different location. The list goes on. It's not just a matter of a different seat colour.

So some posters here say..it's a similar comfort and space. This is different to saying it's the same seat which is what the thread topic says. Okay it might have a similar comfort but IT'S NOT THE SAME SEAT. They don't even come from the same manufacturer.

We had a thread here before about low-value posters sharing wrong information. This thread is one of them. If it said "BA feels the same as CX in Premium Economy", then that is an opinion that can be freely expressed.

But to say this BA seat is the same as the CX seat is outright wrong.

I dont know if you're a pissed off seat designer annoyed that we dont all recognise the subtle differences you built into your baby or what, but i dont think anyone here fails to tell the difference between a blue seat and a green seat. The point we are all making is the main features are pretty similar, and to sit in (which is the main thing) the two are almost identical. That's all ^

Does that mean the seat from a Toyota Corolla, Honda Civic, Mercedes S550, and a Nissan GTR are pretty much all similar, as the main thing is...."to sit in"?

Apparently OP did. That's why OP started this thread as OP thought they are the same seat model

And you might be considered as that category too since you could barely tell the difference, assuming you we're referring to something other than the comfort level when you said you could barely tell the differences other than the color.

should we turn this into a 2+2=5 and if you disagree you should die thread?

Does anyone really use that? I wish I could remove them...always bumping up against my shins...

maybe if I was shorter.. :p

Okay....resurrecting this thread at my own risk :D

An airline (Air New Zealand) has actually chosen the same seat (with their customizations) as CX's premium economy:

Looks like there is a leg rest for every seat. Not sure what their pitch is compared to CX.

Edit: they are using a more generous 41" pitch vs 38" which allows a proper leg rest in every seat.

Indeed.. The 772s will be retrofitted with this Y+ too making NZ arguably the better operator for AKL-HKG in the future (for the extra 3"), unless you want those op-ups..
