But the BA one does not have a legrest?
The point is even if it's the same base model, it doesn't mean comfort and the amount of personal space is the same

I've already answered your question in post #14 and again in post #16. Let me try it one more time. They are NOT the same seat even the same base model is selected. Airlines customize the seats, not just seat width, pitch and design. They could even customize the material and cushions for example. So NO, comfort level and personal space are not the same

Ok materials etc can be different but the BA wt+ essentially have the same dimension as CX. Both have no foot leg rest except first row. From the pictures appears CX has more padding and recline slightly more but that would also mean CX will cause the row behind to have less space.

Don't understand your logic. They are both visually and physically different seats. As jalpak notes, it might be the same model from the manufacturer but the end result is different.

So virtually you could say that many airlines have the same economy seats when they are clearly different?

Precisely the point made by JALPak. Comfort level if even if pitch and seat design and width are the same, the cushion chosen may be different, the way the armrest is designed may be different, the flatness of the bottom cushion etc.

I can barely tell the difference in the BA/CX seats other than the colour. Comfort wise they're about the same. IFE on CX is more varied although for a Brit the content on BA is better.

I don't get this. The shape is different, the headrest is different, the ribbing of the seat is different, the footrest is different. That's just for starters. It doesn't take a very discerning eye to spot these things.

When I'm sat in it for 12 hours I don't really notice those things though - what concerns me is the comfort, and that's where they are almost indistinguishable.

As you've tried and failed to pick the same argument with 3 different people now, perhaps that's the best option^

On top of that, I am not even sure if BA's seat is based on the same weber seat model. Are the BA new world traveller plus seats made by weber too?
