New CX boarding procedure: 3 lines
On CX101 i see 4 lines.
1) Business class + diamond + emerald
2) marco polo club (with image of gold, silver and green) + one world Sapphire
3) premium economy
4) economy
I guess CX really is downgrading the worth of the gold card (as published benefits say business class privileges)
Also flew in from PVG last night (KA) and there were 3 lines
1) diamond+first
2) business + marco polo (gold, silver green)
3) economy
It was pretty funny cause there were only 4 people in the economy line. Everyone else was either a green of higher.

Putting green in 2 is really stupid. Defeats the whole point.

Which is why CX should go the AA route and start training people that unless you are called, don't get up to get in. With the OW benefits and airline's own tiers, it's really hard to maintain multiple lines with space as limitations. AA does it really well with calling people, and of course turning people away whey they try to sneak in when it isn't their turn.

Wish the same for CX agents, please tell them to go away, esp those with 13 year olds and their auntie and uncle and their wives and husbands. Or those masquerading as MPC. Or the 5 guest with that one Green. Or even Silver/Gold.

1) F/DM/OWE
2) J/GO/OWS
3) SL/PEY/GR
4) Everyone else
The trouble is, there isn't often space for four lanes. So the better approach is a filter system before getting to two queues. All F/DM/OWE are escorted (or directed by a fast-track lane) to the front of the economy line. J/GO/OWS to the front of the premium line. SL/PEY/GR join the back of the premium line. Everyone else joins the end of the economy line
I have. To my embarrassment it even happened to me, as I mistakenly thought that travelling J as a OWE (CX/DM) I could join the F group
