CX Lounge -DPS?
Hi all,
Have been trying to get some reward seats in J for DPS-HKG now for moths to no avail! Means I will be stuck in (what appears to be a very busy) Y cabin.
My wife is Gold, so will we have access to a lounge? Is it any good? I see reference on the CX website but very little info on it.
Thanks in advance!

Not spectacular or especially memorable, but perfectly adequate.

I visited the DSP lounge last July. As stated, it is a common use lounge and shared with other carriers. With the laid back attitude of Bali, it shows at the lounge. It is definitely not on par with HKG,SIN ect. Just a big room separated by walls. Just a place to hang out until your flight.

If OP's wife have MPC GO, that's enough to access the DPS lounge +1 guest.

Last time I was at DPS (not on CX), I saw most of the lounges (atleast Deva and Prada - think there are a couple more) have CX's logo on a banner outside, much like the Premier Lounge. Not sure, but i'd suspect that CX issued lounge invites would be gladly accepted at these lounges as well.
All of them accept Priority Pass as well.
The Premier lounge is decent - just that its tucked away in a corner at a bit of a distance to the gate CX seems to be using.

I can't say if you have access based on status rather than fare class. If you're in J, reward or revenue, you'll get invited. The lounge, called Premier Lounge, is a contract operation that serves most of the non-Indonesian carriers, including SQ, CX, TG, and MH. It's at the very back of the current International Departure concourse, upstairs, with access on to a wide outdoor deck that overlooks the west end of the runway and the water beyond. There's a fairly decent selection of food, internet is free only if you use the in-house terminals, there are shower facilities, and the usual collection of magazines and drinks. It's large enough to feel populated but not especially crowded, at least during the day, when CX operates.
Not spectacular or especially memorable, but perfectly adequate.

The best part of the lounge is getting outside of it. Onto the outside deck simply allows you to soak in what's left of the sea (albeit at a distance).
If you go to the Dewa or Prada (its one of those) lounge near Gate 7 that requires the escalator downstairs. There you are in the basement, no windows, etc. The food is okay, noodle dishes, springs rolls, cream puff theme. Less crowds. It is smaller, and if the QR flight is departing that evening, they block off a large section of it strictly for the QR crew.
There's a brand new lounge directly across the Premier on the 3rd floor also. No airline invites to date, and no PP. Entry in IIRC was something like $45. Its clean, food is alright, soft drinks and beer in a small cooler. Atmosphere is better than the Premier. There will be no one in there. Quiet. Not sure on the wifi. I believe no showers. I only toured it, did not stay.
I have been to the other 5 or so lounges, some are not operating currently, others are more of a waiting room - not much if any amenities. Except for the 3 mentioned, there's no others of interest IMO, except to stretch your legs before your flight.
No fast track.
And when boarding, expect a long line. You will want to maneuver your way to the front. Any other flights departing from the same gate area back up from the other side. It can be quite congested.
Having been to Bali many times, hopefully when the new Intl terminal opens there will be some added improvements.

A person, with a sign, was waiting for me shortly getting off the plane and took my passport while I was escorted around the long lines at Immigration to the baggage collection. My passport was returned to me with an Indonesian arrival stamp.
I do not believe the airlines offer this option but some Hotels do.

Except if you prefer drinks. While Bali is not known for wine, the stuff served in the lounge really is not drinkable. The staff there does their best to keep up with the demand, but since all the departing airlines put all their herd into the same lounge. As soon as the food arrives the herd pushes in without regard to any grace. Its comical to see food piled on plates like its their last meal. Oh, and be careful as to not lose a limb if you reach for something.

The outdoor deck would be more pleasant if people didn't smoke there.
Note also that this lounge is accessed by stairs. No escalator or elevator is available.

All of the preceding comments will be obsolete in about two weeks (15 September) when the new international terminal building opens. No idea what the lounge(s) will be like; the concourse looks quite splendid from drawings and pictures.
Immigration (I'm told) will be greatly speeded up, with many more desks and more Visa on Arrival counters.
We shall soon see...................

I used this option when Visiting DSP. I booked the W Hotel and they offered this option. It was well worth the expense. At the time, there was major construction going on at the airport, not sure if it is finished, and the arrivals hall was quite cramped.
