Minimum Connection in HKG

What will be the minimum connection in HKG if I decide to clear immigration and take train to city, say Causeway bay area, assuming I have the BP for the next flight already? 5 hours?

I have TPE-HKG-SIN sector and now my HKG-SIN is only confirm on 01:15 flight. I am thinking to do some sight seeing in HKG before catching red eyes flight.

Any idea?

That's actually my question. I am currently confirm on these flights
CX 531 TPE-HKG 20:20 - 22:10
CX 659 HKG-SIN 0130 - 05:25

Since I have to wait around 3.5 hours in airport, I am thinking to go to city. I doubt 3.5 hours will be enough. So, I want to know what will be the min time?

That's kind of tight...especially if you want to head to the CWB area.

Maybe only enough for you to grab a meal and head straight back....

Depends how safe you want to play it. Last train leaves at 0:48. It takes about 30 min to the airport and then another 20-30 to get to the gate. You need to be there 20 min before the flight. This means you need to take a train not later than 0:10.
Assuming you flight is on time and immigration is not too bad you will be at Hong Kong station around 23:10-23:20.

OP wants to visit the Causeway Bay area....which could easily add up another 15-20mins for a return trip. That leaves him with only appx. half an hour to tour around the city. Maybe do able if he just visit the Central area for a dinner/drink..

But I would just stay at HKIA and sit back and relax at the lounge or something....

Well, either Causeway bay or ttt, the area that I can find good food

Actually I want to be at that pier (not really sure what is the area call), the one has a clock tower and many tourist take pictures with the background of skyline of the other side of islans

If need it I can try to get 18:xx or 17:xx flight out of TPE. That's why I am asking how many hours that I need to make the stop-over not so tight

So I should budget about 30-45 min for one way travel from airport to city. So at least 1.5 hours for travel + x hours I want to stay in city area + .5 -1 hour for immigration?

I am MPC Silver, can I use express line and cut the time for immigration?

Where is ttt?
The Pier / Clock Tower area you're talking about is Tsim Sha Tsui.
The Airport Express also stops at Kowloon Station. Which is ~5 minutes to TST.

Take CX405/401 if departure time isn't a concern for you. The more time you have, the more flexible you are...and don't have to rush yourself around town. Plus, if you're arriving town/CWB by 11:30pm, you're really limiting yourself the number of food options out there...

OK. Now I confirmed on CX490 TPE-HKG. This means I will arrive HKG at 15:15.

I am confirmed on CX659 (01:15) and wait listed on CX715 (20:00). Chance to get confirmed on CX715 is rather slim. So I will have like 9 horus in HKG.

Any idea where I should spend my time? Been to HKG before. Just want to do some window shopping and find any good bargain for Christmas gift and dinner. Any suggestion?

Also, if there any storage facility in HKG to keep my unchecked bag?

If my memory serves me right, this is next to arrival hall B (right end extreme when you hit the arrivals hall, from customs).

Do ask for a standby on CX715 - From the other thread, I see that you are travelling on the 20th and its scheduled to be a 773 (regional) that day - highest capacity place that CX has..the flight looks booked solid in Economy (just Y3), but if CX has any empty seats in biz, likely they'll let you standby on 715 (dont get your hopes high though, my OpUps on CX715 were few and far between as a SL, even GO - it was only after I hit DM that this flight started beeing an OpUp haven).

Just realized that the link that I posted was for a facility in T2 - there used to be one in the main arrivals hall - not sure what happened to that....

So to use this eChannel, enrollment is required? How long the process will take?
