The Wing First Class Lounge opening date??

Any ideas on when The Wing - First Class Lounge will open? I know it was slated for December, but I have not heard or seen any movement in this area for a few months..

Thanks..

There is something about the layout of the new Wing that makes it look like a refugee camp when it's full (which is more often than not these days). When you come out at the top of the stairs and turn left, and you see everyone sprawled out, it's an unsightly mess. The old Wing never had this untidy look when it was full. Bad decisions by the design team to make it more open or something I can't quite put my finger on.

Okay - maybe an insensitive comparison, but you get my point.

I was told by Linda Sim Head of Marco Polo it will be more likely April next year. They can only work for about 3.5 hrs a night when the airport is closed. Its way behind schedule.

you mean when the lounge is closed ?.
The airport remains open 24 hours
If they added more budget to the project as a variation they could have more workers and finish earlier.

I was in the lounge this past Tuesday December 4. An agent said the 1st class section might be completed in March. They can only work when the lounge in closed, a very limited # of hours.

I agree with you. Looks like a mess when crowded.

Absolutely rubbish information. I am sitting next to it right now and they are hammering away and sounds like a full crew running working away, like they always have when I sit at the Wing J lounge close to the future F section. Just to be sure I went to the counter and asked, and they said the internal memo is they are aiming for it to open before Chinese New Year, but they are running behind on some unforeseen issues during construction.
