Or is it transfer pax? Just back on 9W LHR-BOM-HKG (where check-in for non-status is T+24) - they let me OLCI both my LHR-BOM and BOM-HKG legs 24 hours before my departure from LHR. I ended up with a pretty high BN on the BOM-HKG (but I got trumped by all the 9W Jetprivilege status pax who can OLCI T+48).

Been out for a very long time this fact has but I also know that it is often not the case for upgrades, its status and where you name appears alphabetically on the list. Forgot to mention as well, if you know people on the inside they can check you in 55 hrs before departure.

I flew on the BA001 to New York last year from City Airport in London, and got Sequence Number 1 for check in and boarding card. I was very chuffed with myself... But, keeping in mind there were only 22 people on the plane with 10 empty seats, and I was sat at mu computer refreshing the Online Check In page at exactly 24H before, waiting for it to open, no wonder I got it!
I have my boarding card, SEQ-001 for the BA001 in my little scrap book...

T+24 is a day after departure!
Though I will admit doing OLCI at 2 in the morning does hello you get into the HKG schedule for the next day.

Being based in HKG I never have to transfer on CX so I won't know if theirs allow >T+48 for transfer passengers.

Its nice to see they are now putting economy upgrades into E+ and not biz class, I have always felt narked by passengers who get upgraded and blatantly make it obvious to those who have paid for it, not saying that you guys do that but it will reduce my stress levels knowing they didnt get past my curtain
