Overnight Transit @ CLK
We originally were booked: -
CX 100 Q 14-Nov SYD HKG 1540 2200
CX 659 U 15-Nov HKG SIN 0130 0525
CX then cancelled the CX659 and, so instead, we are now: -
CX 691 U 15-Nov HKG SIN 0800 1150
The CX100 is Economy and the CX691 Business (redemption). My wife is the traveller and she will be on her own. She seems to not want to go through all the hassle of leaving CLK and instead wants to read a book and snooze in a lounge. Please can somebody who does this regularly advise of the options available? I understand the http://www.plaza-network.com/index.p...hong-kong.html is open 24 hours, which actual lounge though is feasible for CX passengers on CX100/691? Would my wife be able to have her checked-luggage through checked to SIN in Australia? If we booked the correct Lounge(s) would she even need to go airside at all? I understand the CX Lounges aren't open until 0600, however, do redemption bookings in Business on CX get lounge access?
Any opinions "from-the-coalface" would be really gratefully received!
We do love CX, but really wish they would stop this phase they are going through of changing their schedule(s)! A sign of hard economic times?!

Given this is supposedly separate TKTs it does become a bit difficult, but have you contacted CX and explain this situation to them to see if CX can either 1) chance your wife to another SYD-HKG-SIN connection for free or 2) provide STPC in this case?

The HKIA website has more details on the paid lounges available. There are 3 airside and one landside. http://www.hongkongairport.com/eng/p...in-lounge.html I'd stay airside.
