I think CX is one of the airlines that really likes to wake people up, especially in premium cabins. I still don't understand why they wake people up mid way through the flight for breakfast, with still around 7 hours to go, instead of letting us sleep till 2.5 hours before landing and then serve breakfast like all other airlines.

On a recent day flight to JFK in J (forgot the flight number, it's the morning flight), the mood lights were turned on for breakfast 7 hours into the flight over the North Pole. At least the FA (what's the official title of the FAs in gold top and black bottom?) told me "refreshments" will be served 5 hours after the first meal while distributing the menu. On the flip side, if they didn't wake me up, I wouldn't be able to take a few snaps of the beautiful polar sunrise.

FYI, I wasn't shown to my seat, there was no ISM greeting and while distributing (literally) the table cloth, she didn't bother to wait for me to open the table and just left the table cloth on the armrest and said, "I'll leave it to yourself!" The strange thing is she wasn't rude and we even chatted for a few minutes during boarding, though definitely not a greeting per se.
Not complaining, just sharing.
