LAX security screening

I'm a Marco Polo Silver and I'm traveling with a BA Gold (Oneworld Emerald) on CX LAX-HKG in economy. Can we use the elite security line at the LAX international terminal?

Thanks-

Coralreef / Amy

No unless you r holding business or first class boarding pass. Elite tier doesn't matter

Either I'm very lucky or it was another world. But when I flew from LAX-HKG last time there was NO ONE at the security lines. I went right through....

I agree, security is pretty fast there. I'm more interested in avoiding the NOS machines. Last time I was there the elite line had standard metal detectors and the regular line had body scanners.

LAX. I remember the grumpy TSA Agents. As well as the security staff at the baggage screening. One even semi-yelled at an old couple saying "You have to push the crate into the belt! It hasn't got legs to move into the belt itself!!". Well US is US, guess they have their reasons to be strict and harsh about security but I don't quite understand the reasons for some to always remain grumpy.

There are no reasons. These are a bunch of people that have no more talents to be packing fries at McDonalds masquerading as "security agents." There are absolutely no reasons why these fools couldn't treat pax with dignity and respect, but rather I've only seem a bunch of jackasses treating people like dirt and getting away with it, because they are government bureaucrats.

That seems to be a prerequisite for a US government job...
