A340 to Paris

Just been informed by CX that the flight CX271 via AMS HKG/AMS/CDG are cancelled so have been rebooked on a direct flight CX 279 on A 340.

I find it difficult to picture how seats are actually positioned in the C cabin.

Anyone with experience can recommend two seats for 2 Pax travelling together?

Thank you.

CX has seatmaps online and there is also Seatguru.com with pictures and advice.

The layout on the A340 features CX older longhaul J class in a 1-1-1 layout.

The left hand side seats and middle seats both face into the left aisle. the right hand seats face into right aisle, so are more private. for 2 travelling together you can either take 1 seat behind the other or 2 opposite each other with 1 on the left hand side and 1 in the middle.

I like two seats next to each other in right hand side (K). Avoid the first row and the last row as they are close to galleys/lav.
The seats are typical herringbone (I prefer them to the newer reverse herringbone), perfect for sleeping and privacy. The walls between seats are high, as opposed to some others, so not easy to chat, unless you are tall. But great avod, good service and you'l be the first to disembark.

When I made the initial booking, CX260 was far more expensive. My current booking class would allow change at a fee, and the Cx260 woud likely still be more expensive (new business class).
