CX Canada Reservation Hotline - Error Message

Hi all,

Anyone has experience in calling the reservation hotline in Canada?

I am trying to call there; however, I just keep getting the auto message - "We are sorry. You have dialed the number cannot be reach from your calling area."

Did anyone has the same experience before? Please help. Thanks.

1 (800) 268-6868...rings through....BUT

...i do get the we are very busy and will attempt to connect with busy signal...had to try a few times yesterday.

i suspect there are not that many call centre people in YYZ or YVR and the change over has increased the level of calls big time.

No. Likely a temp error, or you're calling from a corpoate phone using funny carriers.

Use a different phone line, mobile phone, or public pay phone(which is pretty much guaranteed to work).

May be that's the reason, you are actually calling from outside Canada. The 1-800 could be valid only calling from within Canadian phone lines i.e calls originating from Canadian area codes.

From outside Canada (eg. in the US), use 1-800-233-2742 instead.

Also the non-tollfree number for CX in North American is +1 604 606 8888.

The Canadian number only works in Canada. In the U. S. you have to call the U. S. number. They are routed to the same call centre.

Other than calling their reservation hotline (US/CA) number, does anyone has any idea where I can make a waitlist booking and so I can get the guarantee seat from MPO. Since the CX(HK) reservation desk said that they can only prepare tickets departed in HK and FULL-FARE (Y) ticket of outport.

Therefore, I would like to see where I should get my wait list booking, or if there is any easier way to get my guarantee seat. Thanks.

You can book with a traditional TA and then get the waitlist cleared on your booking from MPO I suppose.

Yes, at times it is better to use the non-toll free number and avoid the hassels and your time too just to save a couple of bucks since you have already spend thousands on the tickets. Just add the calls as cost of travelling.

The CX(HK) reservation desk should have the number for you, but did you ask?
