Bag Checking Question

Will be flying from PHX-DFW-LGA Tomorrow on AA, get in at 8 p.m. Flying JFK-HKG on Monday at 1:55 p.m. Was looking to take the bus from LGA to JFK after I land and check my bag for the Cathay flight that night for next day departure so I don't have to lug it the next day??? Flying F BTW. Thanks
