Old CX Flight Numbers

I know the possiblities of this are low, but does anyone know what the old flight numbers were for the HKG-MAN and MAN-HKG flights were? I flew this route as a child and I was just wondering!

was it a 1-stop via AMS? if then it would just be CX270/271 with a AMS-MAN tag-on... just like how it is with paris now
or was there a ZRH-MAN tag-on?

Thanks for the flight numbers.

I actually think that between 93 and 97, they were actually non-stop between HKG and MAN but I could be wrong!

Anyone else think the same?

I remember MAN being a tag on from CDG in the late nineties/early 00's, which would have been 260/1.

Did the CX flight numbers to all north american ports (YVR, YYZ, JFK, LAX etc.) exist since day 1 of their operations?

Back in the 1980's/early 90's the CX flight to YVR was CX 800 and the return was CX 801. I think for a time, CX flew HKG-YVR-SFO / SFO-YVR-HKG.

What time did CX883 an other early morning arrival flights from EU and AU arrive? Assuming that it couldn't be 5am landings like now due to Kai tak not being a 24hr airport?

hello again,

can't speak for NA flights, however, in the 90s, the flights i took from LGW outbound flights mostly on cx220 (direct)/200(via BAH)/260(via CDG))/290(via ZRH) all arrived in hk between 0700 to 0800. And i definitely saw the board showing that there were flights arrived before my flights did. I would imagine most likely they would have flights arrived before 0700 even in the days of kai tak.

cheers

Thanks Wasabi Tofu! Thats mega useful. Turns out I flew CX260 back in 93. Does anyone remember if BA did the MAN-HKG route? Apparently I flew BA from HKG-MAN back in 97!

If via CDG or AMS then it would have been 744 during 1996-97.
