Short Term baggage storage

Hi, I'll be having a 8 hours layover at HKG, and planning to store my bags somewhere in the airport and head out to have lunch with a family member.

I know there's a baggage storage service runs by the airport and it charges $10HKD/hour/bag.

Does CX provide similar service to store my bags perhaps in the first class lounge ? I'm OW Emerald so I'll have access to all of their locations.

Thanks

It sounds like you are in transit, in which case interlining the bags so you never see them in HKG is the easiest option. If you really want to take your bags through customs, then you can recheck them with your onward airline (some will accept bags 8 hours before flight time, but it varies by airline). If they don't at HKG airport, then for most airlines they will accept in-town checkin (at the airport express train station in Central or Kowloon). CX does not allow bags to be left in the lounge if you leave the airport (technically all airports can confiscate such bags and treat them as bombs, but HKG is usually easy going about this). Lots of options, depends upon what you are trying to accomplish and what airline you are flying out of HKG (presumably not CX, as it would be a non-issue then).
