Automatic refund when cancel F ticket?

Hello,

When I cancel online at "manage my booking", a full fare F ticket, do CX transfer the money automatic to the creditcard witch is used at time of booking?

I have canceld a F ticket, now i just want to know if i have to contact Marco Polo Club for a refund?

Thanks a lot, Dennis

Wirelessly posted (iPhone 4: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_3_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8G4 Safari/6533.18.5)

I am not sure but as I remember on the cancel acknowledgement screen, it has a line says please contact the eService Center for refund. You may as well give them a call / email to find it out.

Saw these FAQs in CX website which you have find it useful:

9. How do I get a refund from the residual values of my original flight bookings?

If after you changed the time/date on your flight booking online and a partial refund of your original ticket becomes payable, the residual values will be refunded to the credit card charged.

10. How long does it take to receive the refund incurred from online booking changes?

The refund is normally processed within six weeks.

I think the process depends on where your ticket originates from.

For example, when I have booked an ticket online originating from Manila I need to call the CX ticket office in Manila to co0llect the refund on my credit card. No need to show up in person.

Another reason to use a travel agent. I have refunds processed with Carlson in 48 hours. Sure there's a fee, I find TA's more useful than worrying about the cost. I think they net the payments to the airlines.
