Why can't CX and KA use the same Priority Tags?

I have a bee in my bonnet over this....

I frequently do trips where one segment is on CX and another on KA. On arriving I often find that the CX priority tags do not work at a KA outstation and the KA tags do not work at a CX outstation.

Maybe I'm unlucky - but how hard would it be just to use the same priority tags? It might even save some time and money at airports that are served by both CX and KA?

Lightbulb Oneworld Needs their Own Priority Tags

Why can't the Oneworld carriers have their own standardized priority tags?

Star Alliance and Sky Team have theirs (with minor variations by each carrier).

I had SFO-HKG-PEK several times before. Priority tags seem to work. It may depend on the airports.

In my limited experience CX and KA do recognise each other's priority bag tags.

They are supposed to - but it does not always work. Besides, why not have the same tags?

in my experience, star alliance priority tag works on CX

(transit via HKG from air nz, the barcode recognized my bags (J class), no CX tags attached but my bags always arrive within a couple minutes)

Sometimes I also works for both CX and KA. I occasionally had the un-detached priority tag from previous J sectors when I fly Y. And my Y baggage always come out first (even I don't have any high status at CX/KA)...
