Checked baggage allowance - BA/CX in Y

I'll soon be travelling in Economy from/to OSL to/from HKG with BA (OSL-LHR) and CX (LHR-HKG) - everything on one PNR.

What is the checked baggage allowance for a BA Silver member (OW Sapphire) when connecting between these two OW-partners?

I'll be travelling in Y both ways. I know BA have special allowances on checked baggage for BA Silver members, but what is the rules when part of the trip is with Cathay Pacific?

If you're Silver Exec Club member, you are allowed 2 pcs 23kg each. If its issued on one ticket, you may be able to check it through to HK on CX. However CX's allowance for economy class is only 20kg. If BA thru checks you and issues you a boarding pass, then you're fine.

On your return from HK, I'm afraid you will have to adhere to CX's luggage allowance.
