Using an upgrade certificate
I got two upgrade certificates, one in my name, the other one in my friends name. Will I be able to use her certificate to upgrade my flight if she comes with me to the airport? has anyone done it? Should she write to GR to have it re-issued in my name? Any advice? The certificates were issued for a delayed flight when flying on the same itinerary.

No, you would need to ask if CX Customer relations will reissue the certs in your name before you can use them. They are only valid in the name of the person issued in.

Yep I got a few in the past with the name kept blank, so that I could transfer them.
