KIX Query

Hi all,

I'm going to be doing a HKG-KIX-HKG same day return and was wondering if anyone would have any advice re: getting out to the city and back again. There is around 3.5 hours in between but as I'm not familiar with Osaka, anyone who could share some insights I'd be most grateful.

Alternatively, just waiting in the airport lounge is fine too but being able to get out for a quick meal would be even better!!

With 3.5 hours, you'll have very little time itself in the city (quickest is via the nankai airport express but that will take 30 mins excluding waiting time). Adding in the time to get thru immigration (there and back), it's not worth it - goto the outlet centre 1 stop from the airport called 'Rinku town' - there are some restaurants there (plus ferris wheel and outlet shops). They even have a shuttle bus to and from the airport.

Agree that the OP probably cutting it too close if hitting Osaka City, hitting Rinku town make a lot more sense.

Note that for KIX you likely need to take the shuttle train from the immigration to the air bridge (for my last experience on a morning flight it is jam pack due to end of Easter and I have to wait for next train, which is same case for OP as normally night flight are more filled up ex-KIX).

I concur, Rinku town on the land side is a much better option
