Pricing Question - RT STX-MIA-NYC
Hey guys,
I'm booked in to a destination wedding in St. Croix the weekend of August 17th through 21th 2016. I had a few questions after looking at awards flights via AA and other pricing.
Here's my current idea:
Buy my downward leg 8/17/16 NYC-SJU-STX on B6 (Currently $224, far lower than AA)
Use 30k AA points to book STX-MIA-LGA on 8/21/2016 (Current B6 price is ~$388 and a comparable booking from AA is about $430-450)
Do these prices drop given it's the middle of August?
Also, there are already no Saver points fares available for the return leg (Leaving me the 30k Business/First Saver fare). Have they not been released yet?
Sorry for the long-winded post but I'm not used to booking outside of B6 for awards flights.
