CP bonus
I want to know how does that Gold challenge thing works. Is it only for non-gold members?
I got a thing in the mail today telling me to register for a bonus which will give me 2000 for just flying 1 one way flight between May 1 and July 31. Does anyone out there have the same offer. I think the gold challenge is a better deal.
Is there any Platinum Challenge?
Is there any way to get my bonus offer changed to a gold challenge?

The bonus offer you are looking at is the "Partner Bonus." You get 2000 bonus miles for flying with a CP partner, plus you also get 1000 each for a hotel night, car rental, specialty, and credit card. With parking and Amex, I do all these pretty much every trip, so it looks like an easy 7000 points for me.
I was also surprised to find 1500 bonus miles for my flight to Toronto last week. Not that I'm complaining, I just lose track of all the deals.
The Gold Challenge is something completely aside from the Partner Bonus, and is you are allowed, you should be able to do both at the same time. Bonus points will not count for tier qualification though.

So does it mean if I am allowed the gold challenge, it will be stated on the same letter as the Partner bonus. This is because on the letter that came with the guide, it only have the partner bonus.
Do anyone know what is the qualification of being offered the Partner bonus. If I am a Gold member already, will I be offered that bonus?

The partner bonus and the gold challenge are completely seperate, and if offered, they would be under seperate cover. If you already have Gold, I think it unlikely that you will be offered the challenge.
It seems to me that I was offered the challenge after being at the Club level for awhile, and then significantly reducing my travel for a several months. (For no other reason than we had lots of work in my home city, and therefore I had no need to travel.) It appeared the offer was to entice me to travel with CP again, as I suspect they thought that I had jumped ship.
Bear in mind that all these offers, upgrades, incentives, benefits, whatever, are not given out cause the airline is nice and likes you. Rather, they expect to see some "return on investment" for each dollar they spend on their frequent flyers. My guess is they would only offer the challenge to people they feel will travel with CP because of the offer, when otherwise they might not. See if you can figure out how that might apply to you. Perhaps you can briefly change your flying patterns to become "targeted."
But we're into the realm of speculation here, so your mileage may vary.
