Number of points?

I want to know If I am flying from YYZ - YVR. I am booked in M and K class. What are the amount of miles that I get, do I only get 50% of the miles?
What is the class code for upgrade, is it R? If I do get upgraded, do I get 100% of the points?

(free) upgrades never help for more miles/points with any airline. You get (miles/points) only for what you pay for.

I guess we need a DogMan now, to wake up and sick on Rudi. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

The original suppositions are correct. As both M and K classes are discounted economy, you normally will receive only 50% points, in this case 1042 each way. However, if you are upgraded to "R" class (sticker upgrade) then you will receive 1 point/mile, regardless of original class. (2085 each way.)

Back in my Gold days, I used to take same day standby flights if I had to, either later or earlier, to make sure I got upgraded. The main reason was the service and seat, of course, but the 100% miles was also a factor.

Now, being Executive Platinum, I just tell them to clear everyone out of the Club Empress cabin, and take what ever seat I feel like taking.

Well, not quite. But you get the idea.
