US/Canada Travel Query
I don't know whether I'm in the correct forum for this - I'm a UK citizen planning to fly to Toronto for a few days then fly to Boston for a week or so. Firstly what paperwork do I need to enter the USA from Canada? Secondly, can anyone recommend any good value airlines flying from Toronto to Boston? I thought of travelling to Buffalo and flying from there to Boston. Is it possible to hire a car from Toronto and drop it off at Buffalo? Sorry about all the questions but hopefully someone here may know the answers.

Flying from Toronto to Boston you will have a choice of AA, UA or AC. None of the services will be on a proper / mainline jet -- they're all RJs AFAIK. Prices run from $200 to $250.
Flying from Buffalo to Boston is cheaper. Your nonstop choices are B6 (JetBlue), which can price starting at < $100, or US.
It is easy and inexpensive to take a coach from Toronto to the Buffalo airport. Far simpler and cheaper than hiring a car. The trip takes two or three hours including border crossing time:

As a UK national crossing into the States from Canada you need all the same paper you'd need if you were landing here on a BA flight from London.

If you cross the border by land, either by car, bus or train, you'll be required to go in and fill out the I-94W (assuming you're eligible) and customs form, be processed in the normal way as if you were flying directly from Europe, and have to pay a customs/immigration processing fee to boot (I think it's USD 6).

YVR is correct. Crossing by land you have to go into the building to fill out the forms. The cost is US$6.00 payable then and there (I don't know if they take credit cards). It can be really quick or there may be a line. Most we've had to wait with UK citizens is about 15-20 minutes for the entire process.

Another coach company:http://www.niagaraairbus.com/
Just used them and it was fairly efficient. BTW-There was no requirement to fill out a customs form entering the US or Canada by coach, only an interview with Immigration officials (who BTW have the personalities of water buffalos at the Peace bridge).
