US Customs when transiting to Canada?

if i am travelling from europe to Canada via the US as a Canadian, should I put my Canadian address down on the US customs form as my "address for the first night in the usa" or do i leave it blank as i am in transit to Canada?

In the the address field write "onward connection to Canada on AC124 and show them your AC BP or AC ticket (if you don't have an AC BP).

Also, you can use the USA Passport holders line rather than the Foreigners line. This will save a lot of time.

Have fun and if you have more questions regarding the connection process the state you connection city, likely a lot of FTers will know a few ins and out wrt the particular city and terminal you transit.

Careful now. Each airport, in fact each agent, has a different take on this. Sometimes it will be offered in which case no problem. And it doesn't hurt to ask.

But just presenting a Canadian Passport at the UA Passport line may set you up for some grief.

Exactly, in CLT (Charlotte) Canadians are lumped in with the other non-us citizens (excluding permanent residents of US who go with us citizens). If you are Canadian and you go into the US Citizen queue you will be made to go to the end of the of the foreigner queue after waiting to get to the front of the American citizen queue.

Every airport IS different and every agent IS different. So you really should ask when coming into passport control.
