Dining options at YVR after customs?

I will be arriving at YVR this week from the U.S. I will have some time to kill waiting to meet a friend who is coming in on a slightly later flight. Once I clear Canadian customs, will I have access to any bars/restaurants at the airport? I assume there will be nothing available to me before I clear customs.
Thanks for any help and advice.

Your're right that there will be no choice before you clear Canadian Customs; however, once you've cleared there are lots of options.

What time of day will you be there? Obviously late at night your choices will be more limited.

At the Fairmont Airport Hotel inside the terminal, the lounge's kitchen is open fairly late. Not cheap, but usually great food.

Thanks! I'll be there noonish. I saw that list of restaurants but it wasn't clear if any were outside security.
Glad to hear I will have plenty of options. edit: now I see if I click on a restaurant I'm told if it is outside security

A popular choice for locals at YVR is "Milestones." It's a casual, sit-down place with good menu options. Prices are reasonable.

It's located in the domestic terminal, on the departures level - A 7-10 minute walk from Canada Customs.

.
GOod if you like the airline good link. Milestones is owned by Cara.

FWIW, there is a bar as soon as you exit the customs hall. Not sure if it serves food.

Thanks everyone. Just had a very acceptable grilled salmon burger at KOHO, on my second bloody mary and enjoying the free wireless^
