Montreal Easter Sunday

We are thinking of visiting Montreal for the Easter weekend. I am curious if any knows if the city is completely shut down for the Easter holiday or will most stores and restaurants be open?

We are driving up from the NYC area, so we would proably spend all day Saturday and most of the day Sunday in the city.

Thanks!

We're visiting Montreal this Easter from Good Friday to Easter Monday. Any idea whether the attractions and restaurants will be open as normal or can we expect that they'll be closed on the Sunday or other days?

With some exceptions, everything should be open on Saturday. Commercial establishments are, by law, closed on the Sunday but restaurants should be open as a good number of them will be offering Sunday brunch.

But there is plenty to do and see even if the stores/museums are closed like walking around Old Montreal or Mont-Royal.

If you need other ideas feel free to PM me with interests.
