Dinner in Montreal
After an exhaustive search(well sort of) I couldn't find too much info on a nice restaurants in Montreal. I need suggestions for a restaurant to take a client out mid week. I would like to keep it under $200 for 2 of us.

Hi. I'm surprised you say so. Montral has loads of good restaurants and for US$100/head (even C$100/head) you can certainly find something very nice.
Have a look at the March 2006 edition of Gourmet magazine which is devoted to Montral (http://www.epicurious.com/gourmet, but you're better off getting yourself a printed copy). Also have a look (if you speak some French) at http://www.voir.ca/restos/default.aspx which is the quintessential guide to Montral restaurants.
I will leave specific suggestions to the experts, as it's been 2-3 years now since I left the city and things do chance on the culinary scene.

Op was lazy
Ok I will admit I was being very lazy.
I just have become reliant on the views of FTyers. I have found them to be more reliable than most mags.

Depending on where you are staying in YUL, you can probably find something nice within walking distance of your hotel. Ask the concierge. But just in case, here are two suggestions to keep in your pocket for emergencies...
Expensive Good: Europea
Reasonably priced good: Les Pyrenees.
Bon appetit!

Several posters have already mentioned it, but seriously check out the march issue of Gourmet. It is only the fifth time in their history that they have devoted an entire issue to a single city. Montreal joins the ranks of San Francisco, New York. London and Paris (all the obvious choices). Try La Chronique(in the Plateau), or the Bonaparte in old Montreal. Cafe Ferreira (for Portugese-mainly seafood). Of course there is always the old standby L' Express, a typical French Bistro on St Denis. There is also Au Pied du Cochon and Brunoise (a little more expensive.) Enjoy
