Book a dummy refundable flight to USA for next week and say a family member is deathly ill.

My question is how early I need to show up without a prior appointment.. most my data points seem to be during the COVID era when people were camping out overnight. I’m hoping it’s improved somewhat since then.
My Monday is pretty much open… guess there’s only one way to find out…

Travel Date
I think many passport processing times in major cities have since caught up. As long as you have a travel date the processing time in Vancouver is quite reasonable.

2 weeks from application to issue!
I sent my renewal application Monday March 20th by Fedex
it was received by them on the 21st
they charged my cc on the 23rd
i received my old canceled passport back on the 31st
i received my new passport today.
i did NOT pay for any expedited service.
