Monday troubles at YYZ

I looked for a relevant thread, but today (a Monday). Was a complete poop-show at transborder. Was there 90 minutes before the flight but only made it because I was able to cut to the front of various lines because I had a toddler. When did the security/x-ray system become such a joke? Also, US customs booths were less than half manned, and many people were missing flights. They know Monday morning is busy but just choose not to fully man all the booths? Is every Monday morning this awful? I fly through a lot of airports around the world and this gong show was a complete mess. Makes me embarrassed to be Canadian.

I looked for a relevant thread, but did not find one, if this needs it's own thread, tcook, please adjust as you see fit.

My last few transborder trips seems like at the security line they funnel non Nexus pax into the Nexus line if they think the line is too short. Like they are trying to have same numbers in all lines. Sort off defeats the Nexus purpose and then you have people taking off shoes, etc. Crap

Not Nexus but cleared customs easily as a resident while my guy friend went through separately and got stuck in secondary for 1.5 hours.

So yeah, he got thru, but would have likely been far easier if we went thru together

As this isn't an Air Canada specific thread but one about YYZ the posts originally placed in the Air Canada forum have been moved to a new home in the Canada forum.
