Canada Place to YVR

This is a dumb question, but here goes.

We are arriving on a cruise ship into Canada Place in Vancouver. We need to get to YVR. I want to take the Canada Line train. From the Canada Line website it appears I can buy single fare tickets, but I am unsure whether I can buy the tickets at the Waterfront Station and whether I can use a credit card.

Is someone able to enlighten/clarify this for me?

Thanks!

Yes and yes. There are ticket machines right at the station and they all take credit cards.

Thanks!

In other places I've been trying to use the public transport is tough. Have to buy a transit card at a local store...make sure it has enough fare...etc. Normal stuff that everybody knows, except the dumb tourist!

I was there a week ago. Did the same trip. It was incredibly convenient. It cost me $ 2.50 cad on a Saturday. It's four dollars during the week before 18:00. They took Visa or MasterCard and there was an attendant there to explain it. Just make sure you take a train to YVR and not Richmond. Also, it it's of any interest to you I like to sit in the front. Cool view and space for luggage. Safe travels!
